Last 23 June, the President of the Provincial Council of Valencia, Alfonso Rus, inaugurated the implementation of an electric telemanagement system in the town of Vallanca. The President assured that investment in technological resources "such as the electric telemanagement system in Vallanca represents an added value to help overcome the crisis".
The presentation ceremony was also attended by the Mayor of Vallanca, Nuria Millán, Provincial Councillors Juanjo Medina and Amparo Mora, Regional Minister and member of the Energy Commission, Vicente Betoret, and the technician responsible for the telemanagement system, Joaquín Minguez.
The system includes 320 single-phase CIRWATT B meters, with PLC communications, a cut-off relay and two PLC-800 concentrators, one of which is for the transformer substation in the village of Negrón; they all are from the CIRCUTOR brand. A Wifi network has been used for communication between the two substations and the distributor; this also allows communication between the QNA quality analyzers, also from CIRCUTOR, and the central office.
This system provides the Vallanca Town Council with countless technical improvements as well as improvements in commercial services, since it allows actions to be performed remotely and instantly, such as:
- Consumption can be viewed accurately, on time and remotely, thus avoiding having to visit all the meters installed in the town to take readings for invoicing the energy consumed.
- The installation of a power control switch is not required in all homes, since the meter incorporates a limiting device that can be programmed remotely thus simplifying shifts in power.
- The meters allow the application of more flexible tariffs.
- The user will have more information on the energy consumed thus favouring savings and efficiency.
- More information for the detection of fraud and control of network behaviour.
